Clifton Larson Allen (CLA) – Public Accounting Firm | Intern, Audit & Tax

Clifton Larson Allen (CLA) is a leading public accounting firm with a strong presence in the Midwest. During my internship at CLA, I worked in both the Audit and Tax departments while pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Accounting at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Throughout my time at CLA, I contributed to various audit engagements across industries such as construction, manufacturing, government, and healthcare. I also gained hands-on experience in preparing individual 1040 tax returns during the busy tax season.

In my audit role, I worked on a diverse range of tasks, including the auditing of cash, accounts receivable, trial balances, and shrinkage (construction-related). Additionally, I assisted with company acquisition entries and reviewed governmental policies, further expanding my understanding of accounting principles across sectors.

This experience allowed me to develop a comprehensive skill set in both audit and tax, equipping me with the practical knowledge necessary for a successful career in accounting.
